ART BOUTIKI IS NOW SELLING GIFT CARDS!
SOUTH FIRST FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4th
Fridays are inherently one of the best days of the week and South First Friday is the best Friday of the
month. The November edition of downtown San Jose's epic art walk is the penultimate First Friday of the year and a good way t get in a little artistic "me" time before the start of the holiday season.
The Art Boutiki once again participates as we continue the showing of Caustic Curio, the Art of Crab Scrambly. Held over by popular demand you can see a selection of Scrambly's SLG work (including original paintings from his collaboration with Jhonen Vasquez Everything can be Beaten) as well as work which will be seen in his upcoming art book Caustic Curio.
In Gallery #2 we will have Make a Jazz Noise Here, a showing of various SLG Publishing artists interpreting Jazz and other musical art forms.
Live music is of course a staple of every Art Boutiki First Friday and this month is no different as we welcome back Quasiyodal to our stage. For a bit of something different local comedian Pete Munoz will perform a bit of stand-up between the bands sets.
And it does not stop there as San Jose Metro, The Art Boutiki and Second Harvest Food Bank want you to take part in our Feast of the Gods for your chance to see THE IMMORTALS at a special advance screening! the Art Boutiki (577 S Market St) OR Metro Newspapers (550 S 1st St) and bring a food item to donate to Second Harvest and we'll give you a pass to see THE IMMORTALS at a special advance screening in the San Jose area!
Man, I am exhausted just typing this stuff.
So, come on out. This is fun in an IMMORTAL way!
